Yale Club of New York Stand-Up Night

On September 22nd, The Yale Record had our annual Stand-Up event at the Yale Club of New York. We were excited to see alums Ralph Hirshorn, Manish Shah, David Etkin, Kaylee Walsh, Clio Rose, Jack Newsham, and Sydney Shea. Before the show, we were able to browse through The Yale Club's relatively complete collection of the magazine from 1872-1968.

The Record had a hugely eventful start to this semester. We started the year out strong at the college-wide extracurricular bazaar, where we had three tables — one for the Record, one for the Cucumber (The Record's Stand-Up Club), and one prank club, the Toddler Entrepreneurial Association, where we teach underprivileged toddlers about the one thing no one else is telling them about, finance.

On the print front, we successfully distributed hundreds of our annual First Year Issue to hundreds of first-years who were in definite need of our advice. Additionally, we've published the Mahogany Issue.

And to welcome students to campus, The Record throws a Welcome to Yale party. This year it was Jae D'Allesandro, a special young man hailing from Rhode Island fit with multiple accolades and achievements, was randomly chosen to be the pride and joy of our annual first-year party. He had a blast.
