Notes from Campus

The Record had a wonderful fall semester. We put out the traditional First-Year Issue, followed by the Scouts, Mahogany, and Read It & Weep Issues. We welcomed forty-seven new Recordians onto the masthead, celebrating their initiation in a pageant-themed extravaganza. At the beginning of the year, we celebrated one lucky first year’s welcome to Yale in the biggest party we could throw. The Record achieved schoolwide online reach by sending a biweekly newsletter, expanding its online presence, and crossing the 5,000-follower mark on Instagram. Business boomed as ads sold left and right and hundreds of “No L in Yale” and “Harvard Thinks This is Pants” shirts made their way into student and alumni hands. We’ve lived, we’ve laughed, we’ve loved, and we’ve somehow gotten confused about the meeting time even though it’s 9pm in LC 317 Monday of every single week. We’re looking forward to more in Spring! Cheers!
