Join us for the Yale Record's Award Lunch and Reunion Dinner

Fellow Owls, 

We are excited to expand our Annual Yale Record Awards Lunch to also include a Reunion Dinner. This year, we'll be dragging Mike Gerber '91 all the way from LA to join us (if Elon Musk had delivered on his national hyperloop ponzi scheme, we could've used magnets to zoom him over but instead Mike will be flying economy). Mike doesn't get out East much and would love to see all his old Record friends. As many of you know, Mike was essential in the reestablishment of The Record, and knows more than anyone should about its history; he and Don Watson '59 will be on hand to answer questions, spread cheer, and overhear embarrassing anecdotes for inclusion in The Record's 150 year anniversary book in 2022. Please join us for the:

Join the current Yale Record students for the presentation of the magazine's three annual awards: 
1) The Kloot Award—In honor of Fred Vanderkloot, '58, for strengthening The Record’s standing in the Yale community;
2) The Morrison Prize — In honor of James Morrison '21, for outstanding artistic contributions to The Record;
3) The Grossman Award — In honor of Robert Grossman '61, for outstanding political satire by a Yale undergraduate. 

The Grossman Award is a new jury-selected prize funded (like the KLOOT) by the YRC endowment. We are very happy to commemorate Bob in this way, and if you were a friend of Bob's or a fan of his work, please do come celebrate the inauguration of this prize. Thank You to our founding donors for the Grossman Award: Richard Egan, The Firesign Theatre, Michael Gerber, Robert Gimbel, Ralph Hirschorn, David Jeffrey, Robert Marvin, Robert McManus, Peter Moore, John I. Pearce Jr, Phil Proctor, Terry Shockey, and Donald Watson.
